Uniformity Through Uniforms

My friends, we’ve got trouble. That’s trouble with a capital T which rhymes with P and E and stands for Public Education! When it came to flim flammery, Harold Hill had nothing over Bill Clinton. During the ’96 campaign Bill found the perfect solution to whatever’s wrong with our public schools: school uniforms! We put every Johnny and Sally in a school uniform and by magic discipline problems go away and test scores go up. And it doesn’t cost taxpayers a dime! As a campaign issue it was perfect. In addition to costing nothing, the only people who might object to it, the students, couldn’t vote. And it was just obvious that what kids needed was discipline and what better model of discipline than the army and soldiers wear uniforms as do prisoners and members of juvenile gangs. I don’t want to imply that Clinton didn’t believe in the idea – all good salesmen believe their own spiels. After helping him win the election, Clinton made school uniforms a central proposal in his state of the union address.

Egyptians used papyrus to make sales messages and wall posters. Commercial messages and political campaign displays have been found in the ruins of Pompeii and ancient Arabia. Lost and found advertising on papyrus was common in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Wall or rock painting for commercial advertising is another manifestation of an ancient advertising form, which is present to this day in many parts of Asia, Africa, and South America. The tradition of wall painting can be traced back to Indian rock art paintings that date back to 4000 BC.[4] History tells us that Out-of-home advertising and billboards are the oldest forms of advertising.
If borrowers are asked to vote for the most striking feature of credit cards that appeals them, then increased spending power ought to bag the largest number of votes. In fact this is a feature that distinguishes credit cards from cash, cheque, and the newly launched debit cards. Credit cards allow customers to spend up to a certain credit limit, even when their account may not sport a similar amount. The feature takes not much time to be turned into a drawback when the credit card is used inappropriately. People often keep a multitude of cards and when each card has been stretched to its credit limit, it becomes difficult to repay the debts in totality. It is here that credit card debt consolidation loans come into play.

A grand dinner-party; everyone was there, exultant and ecstatic, mingling and chanting, making a festivity of it all. But for him, it was a turn off, because she wasn’t present. He subconsciously craved for her presence, and prayed for it as he tightened his grip around the beer bottle. No sooner than later, “as a consequence of his prayers”, she arrived, to amend the situation-his predicament.
As soon as she stepped in, the light she radiated lightened up the dimly lit hall. And the music that had reached its crescendo and quite thunderous, seemed to play in the background. To him, nothing can ever overshadow his utter attention for her, once she is present, and even when she is not.
When I first started watching football back in 1977 and the time that led up to the World Cup played in 1978 in Argentina, I apart from becoming a great fan of the sport learnt the basics as to what was the game of football. By the “basics” I mean not just learning what the object of the game was but the rules that included knowing the meaning of words such as off sides, a direct free kick, an indirect free kick, penalty, foul and many others. I however did not limit myself to learning the rules but also the strategies used in the game of football as it was during this time that I saw many a match. World Cup qualifiers, repeats of the 74 World Cup and international friendlies that included teams like Italy (above all), Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Peru, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Poland and many others.
